Extended deadlines for the Micro-Internship Programme

Blogged by Rosanna Mills on 08/11/2017.

There are three more chances to apply for the Micro-Internship Programme this Michaelmas to add valuable work experience to your CV. We have extended the deadline for placements at Datascope Recruitment, Generation Medics and Restore. Applications are now open on CareerConnect, and the deadline is midnight, Sunday 12 November for placements in Week 9.

All matriculated students are welcome to apply. We have extended the limit for this second batch, so even if you have already made two applications you are welcome to apply again.

A brief summary… (Please click on the titles to link to the CareerConnect vacancy)

  • Datascope Recruitment – Administrative Internship (Ref ID: 3V8LD)
Datascope Recruitment is the UK’s number one recruitment consultancy for the games industry and is based in central London. We are looking for a micro-intern to assist us with various administrative, research and documentation projects. Throughout the work, you will be completing tasks related to LinkedIn and conducting analysis of the traffic on and usage of Datascope’s website.
  • Generation Medics (Formerly Help Me I’m a Medic) Internship (Ref ID: JZA3L) Generation Medics is a non-profit founded by medics in Oxford and supported by the NHS in England to widen access to healthcare careers. We’re offering various internship opportunities to help students develop skills and experience within a start-up social enterprise whilst supporting us to grow and impact more individuals. Our opportunities offer insight and experience in business development, marketing, public engagement, impact measurement, consulting or project management.
  • Restore – Mental Health Database Internship (Ref ID: JZAVX) Are you great with IT? If so, apply to help a mental health charity get the best from their data. Restore is an Oxfordshire based charity that supports people with mental illness to recover and gain meaningful work. We are great with people, but not so great with software! We are looking for an intern to review our current database and user experience, with a view to creating a comprehensive user manual. This is an opportunity to use your skills and knowledge to make a real difference to the day to day running of a charity.

The application requirement is a one-page CV and 300-word personal statement. The Internship Office is running an Application Support Session this Thursday 9 November, bookable on CareerConnect.
