Laidlaw Scholars: information and support sessions

The Laidlaw Scholars programme is now accepting applications, and the Internship Office is running some sessions to help students with their applications. Please contact laidlaw@careers.ox.ac.uk with any questions.

Are you an undergraduate who is considering postgraduate study or a career in research?  Would you like to develop your research and leadership skills? Are you looking for a way to spend time on a project that you love? If so, the Laidlaw Undergraduate Research & Leadership Programme could be just what you’re looking for! As a Laidlaw Scholar, you’ll have the opportunity to undertake a fully-funded research project of your own design at any institution worldwide, alongside practical leadership training which will help you understand and manage yourself and those around you. The closing date for applications is 8 January 2018.

Information Session

  • When: Monday 13 November, 13:15 – 14:00
  • Where: The Careers Service, 56 Banbury Road
  • What: Basic information about the programme
  • No need to book: places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application Support Sessions – WEEK 6

  • When: Tuesday 14 November, 14:00 – 16:00; Thursday 16 November, 10:00 – 12:00
    • We’re running sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays until week 9 – check CareerConnect as times vary
  • Where: The Careers Service, 56 Banbury Road
  • What: Detailed advice about your application
