Looking for part-time summer work?

Blogged by Corina Lacurezeanu on August 18, 2017.

The Careers Service is looking for a Fair Booklet Assistant, for 20 hours a week, for four weeks commencing Monday 11 September 2018. Patterns of work within each week can be negotiated to suit the successful applicant.

The Careers Service holds several Careers Fairs in Michaelmas, each with a fair booklet printed and published online. The primary duty of the assistant will be to compile and format these booklets in InDesign, to meet print deadlines. Other duties of a similar nature may also form part of the role.

The job will be based in the Careers Service, 56 Banbury Road. The work would suit a student in Oxford before term starts, who is looking for part-time, temporary work.

  • Able to concentrate on repetitive tasks
  • An eye for accuracy and detail
  • Able to work quickly and meet deadlines
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, or other word processing software
  • Basic experience with InDesign would be a plus.

Send a one page CV and brief cover letter – indicating how you meet the person specification – to jonathan.gilbert@careers.ox.ac.uk by the end of Thursday 31 August. Interviews will be held the following week.
