S2DS is Europe’s largest data science training programme. It offers five weeks of intensive, project-based training for MSc and PhD graduates and students in the final year of their studies who can commit to a full-time programme. It runs three times each year, in March, August and October.
Applications for the March 2022 programme must be submitted by 31 December 2021. The programme will run 14 March - 14 April 2022. Candidates need to have at least intermediate programming experience in Python or R to be suitable for the course.
Fees and Scholarships
There is a £800 registration fee for successful candidates. There are two possible scholarships routes for Oxford University applicants, but candidates can only apply via one of these options.

This new scholarship is exclusive to Oxford University applicants and provides a full waiver of the registration fee. There is one scholarship available for the S2DS March 2022 programme. It has its own dedicated application process.

For every edition of the S2DS programme there are limited partial scholarship open to any applicant, and awarded on a needs and merit basis. To be eligible for this partial scholarship, candidates must apply using the standard S2DS application form and complete the appropriate additional section on that application.

You’ll learn what it’s like day-to-day for a data scientist by using project management tools, presenting in client meetings and most importantly, working as a team to deliver a project. Throughout S2DS, you’ll be supported by a range of mentors, there to guide and challenge you to get the most of your S2DS experience. This includes a technical mentor for project support, a company mentor for domain expertise, and a programme mentor for everything else.
S2DS runs three times per year in March, August and October. In 2022, all programmes will run remotely, during UK business hours, so accessible wherever you are.
