If you are interested in a career in consultancy and are considering applying to BCG this autumn, you can sign up for one of their two workshops and women's panel in May and their mentorship programme in the summer. BCG are members of Oxford's Recruiters' Group, and are a popular recruiter of Oxford University graduates.
BCG Advanced Degree Case Workshops: 12 or 13 May 2021
Final year DPhils, postdocs or medics are invited to apply to one of BCG's virtual case workshops to work through a practice case-study with some of their advanced degree (AD) consultants.
The event will kick-off with a couple of case study tips after which you will be assigned to a specific group and work through a case as a team, guided by a BCG consultant. The session will end with a short Q&A where you will be able to ask questions to both consulting and recruiting teams. The session is an opportunity to get to know BCGers, learn about case studies and virtually meet other students interested in consulting.
Register for 12 May or Register for 13 May by Friday, 30 April 5:00 PM (BST). BCG will communicate workshop invite decisions by Thursday, 6 May.
BCG Advanced Degrees Women's Panel: 27 May 2021
The evening will include a panel discussion with some of our BCGers representing various backgrounds, each offering a unique perspective. Our panellists will share their experiences and give you an insight into the world of management consulting.
You can submit your questions in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org and also submit questions during our live Q&A on the day.
The event will take place from 6:30-7:30 PM (BST) on Thursday, 27 May. Zoom details will be shared closer to the time. Please register by Monday, 24 May for the BCG Advanced Degrees Women's Panel.
BCG Advanced Degree Mentorship Programme: June - October 2021
Final year JDs, DPhils, postdocs and medics can now apply to the Get to Know BCG mentorship programme for advanced degree students.
The programme is designed to support and encourage you to learn more about what it is like to work at BCG coming from an advanced degree background, network with consultants, and find out about their culture and recruiting process. The programme includes virtual coffee chats, networking, an application tips and tricks webinar, and 1:1 sessions with a mentor including a case practice, over the summer and early autumn months. Additionally, participants will have access to exclusive resources including case interview prep materials.
The goal of the mentorship programme is to inspire you to explore a career in consulting in any of the 90+ BCG offices and sharpen your problem-solving and interview skills.
