Global Essay Competition at the 51st St. Gallen Symposium

The St. Gallen Symposium is the world’s leading initiative for cross generational debates on economic, political, and social developments – organised by the International Students’ Committee (ISC), an independent student initiative at the University of St.Gallen. The Symposium brings together the key decision-makers, thought leaders and brilliant young minds to discuss current issues and chances on transforming ideas into action.

You, as a graduate or post-graduate student, have the opportunity to qualify as one of the 100 Leaders of Tomorrow 2022 through participating in the Global Essay Competition. As a Leader of Tomorrow, you will enjoy an all-expenses-covered trip to Switzerland and get the chance to meet over 600 world leaders from different fields.

The Symposium welcomed distinguished participants over the years including Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank, Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba Group and, most recently, Satya Nadella, Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft. On top of this, the top three entrants from the essay competition have the unique opportunity of presenting their ideas in front of a world-renowned audience and to share the grand prize of CHF 20,000.

The 51st St. Gallen Symposium will be held under the topic “Collaborative Advantage” from 5-6 May 2022 at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
