Posted on behalf of TORCH. Blogged by Rachel Bray on 06/11/2019.

Interested in public engagement? Curious about opportunities in the performing arts? Join us for a day full of examples of real-life research-based theatrical projects, and learn how to propose and fund your own! No prior experience is necessary.

When: Wednesday 13 November, 10:30 – 16:00
Where: St Luke’s Chapel, Radcilffe Observatory Quarter

Collaborating with theatres is a great way to explore new perspectives on your work and communicate your research to different audiences. Led by academics and theatre professionals, this innovative workshop will give you the skills and inspiration to design, propose and secure funding for your own collaborative projects. Open to research students and research staff from all departments/faculties.

TORCH encourages and supports mutually beneficial projects between researchers and theatres in many different ways, including through the Theatres Seed Fund, which offers up to £3k for research-based theatrical collaborations. You’ll hear from the successful applicants of the last round of Seed Funding and get tips for your own applications.

Book your place now on Eventbrite!

HIghlights:: Theatre practitioners panel, Networking lunch, Researchers panel featuring experienced researchers from all Divisions and other universities, Evaluation and Impact overview, Roundtable and Q&A with 2019 Seed Fund awardees.
