Career Weaver: NEW web-based App from the Careers Service

Blogged by Hugh Nicholson-Lailey on 07/11/2019.

We are excited to announce the release of Career Weaver, our new web-based App accessed using your SSO.

Career Weaver provides a structured approach, a vocabulary and a variety of exercises to help you explore, name and describe the keys to your career success and happiness. In particular it focuses on stimulating reflection in three important areas.

What I love

Investigate the values and work preferences that underpin your intuitions, decisions and life satisfaction, both inside and outside work. Your core drivers provide the foundations for your choices, successes and frustrations.

What I am good at

Take time to understand your true strengths and skills so that you can be confident about what you already do well, create focused personal development goals and learn how to present your story and showcase your abilities in persuasive applications.

Why I do it

Bringing together the insights about ‘what you love‘ and ‘what you are good at‘ with ideas about what really motivates you in order to understand and explain ‘why‘ you enjoy what you enjoy doing and what underpins your commitment and success.

CAREER WEAVER: follow the threads, reveal your pattern

Career Weaver is being released for User Acceptance Testing between now and the beginning of Hilary Term to enable us to test the App design and functionality, and we’d be delighted to receive any feedback about your experiences using the App.
