Our careers advisers have planned a series of events at the start of Michaelmas term to help you start building a career plan, show you to the ways in which you can grow your skills, and introduce you to employers at our upcoming careers fairs.

We will look at ideas and tools to uncover, identify and take ownership of what's truly important for you in your future career thinking in order to increase your understanding of your personal drivers and create a personal compass to navigate the world of careers.

This session will focus on building your core employability skills, although the techniques will be relevant to support and drive your thinking in any area of personal development.

Michaelmas Term is one of the busiest from a careers point of view, overflowing with careers fairs and talks, employer presentations and skills workshops. Join this session to find out how to make the best of this term, navigate some of the available options and move forward with your career.

A good CV and Cover Letter is essential for making a strong application. In this session, we will share advice on how to structure CVs and cover letters and discuss what content they should include and how you can tailor them to specific roles.
Week 1: Friday, 15 october 2021. 11:00-11:45
Our virtual fairs are a great opportunity to meet with employers and learn more about their sectors and specific opportunities they have. Ahead of our upcoming careers fairs, this session aims to help you find out more about what to expect and how best to prepare in advance.
