UPCOMING PROGRAMMES
Are you an Oxford University researcher looking to:
- Build your employability skills?
- Gain real world client-facing experience?
- Take part in sessions that fit around your research commitments?
We have three skill-building programmes for you.
Late Stage DPhils and Research Staff
The Researcher Strategy Consultancy provides researchers with an opportunity to develop core employability skills required for a transition into analytical, business, or policy roles in a range of sectors.
Participants volunteer some of their own time to work in small teams, over a 3-month period, to address a strategic issue or business opportunity for a client organisation. Apply on CareerConnect by 9:00 AM on 12 April 2021.
The Researcher Strategy Consultancy is open to 3rd or 4th year DPhil candidates (or those over half way through a part time DPhil) and research staff (grades 6-8).
Researchers are also eligible to apply to the shorter The Oxford Strategy Challenge.
First and Second Year DPhils and Masters Students
The Oxford Strategy Challenge provides participants with an opportunity to develop a broad range of transferable employability skills. This is a team-based experiential learning event with participants working on real strategy-focused client challenges over a week.
After completing the Challenge, participants will be eligible to apply to The Student Consultancy which gives applicants an opportunity to work in small teams on a client project over the course of a term.
The Challenge is open to current undergraduates, postgraduates and research staff.
All Research Students and Staff
The Career Design and Development three part workshop series aims to open the space for creative thinking and equip you with insights and tools for developing your career with confidence. We will combine individual and small group activities to stimulate thinking, explore new areas and practice new ways of self-expression on work-related topics. The first workshop is on 5 May, 13:30-16:00. Book your place in CareerConnect by 16:00 on 28 April.
