Research Staff and DPhil students at Oxford University: The Michaelmas term careers fairs are open to you too!
Chatting to recruiters in person is a great way to gain insights into a company and its roles. And while it’s true that many companies who attend our careers fairs will be promoting their entry-level graduate training schemes, that doesn’t mean that they can’t also talk to you about other opportunities within their organisations. So, have a look at the list of organisations who’ve signed up to attend each fair, identify those which interest you most, and then come to see them on the day. If you can’t attend the fair, contact the company to set up an alternative time to talk to them.
Finance and Consultancy ABCs, 11:30 - 12:00, at the Examination Schools. Arrive early for the fair to consider how to best use the day, start thinking like a recruiter, sharpen your instincts and connect with alumni. The session will end as the Fair opens, so you'll also be first to hit the company stands.
Researchers @ the Oxford University Careers Fair, 09:15-10:30, at the Examination Schools. Talk informally with a careers adviser about options for researchers and find out how to get the most from the fair.
