The targetjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards is an annual competition aimed at finding the best undergraduates in the UK across a range of categories. Each award is partnered by an employer who provides a fantastic prize for the winner, which could include a paid internship, a trip abroad, or exclusive networking opportunities.

This year, there are 13 awards on offer. Although you might be eligible to enter more than one award, the rules of the competition mean that you can only enter for ONE, so choose wisely:

  • The Black Heritage Undergraduate of the Year Award
  • The Career Changer of the Year Award
  • The Undergraduate of the Year Award Celebrating Neurodiverse Talent
  • The Undergraduate of the Year Award Celebrating Resilience
  • The Undergraduate of the Year Award Celebrating Social Mobility in Built Environment and Real Estate
  • The Engineering Undergraduate of the Year Award
  • The Female Undergraduate of the Year Award
  • The Future Insurance Professional of the Year Award
  • The Management Undergraduate of the Year Award
  • The Multilingual Undergraduate of the Year Award
  • The National Security Undergraduate of the Year Award
  • The Undergraduate of the Year Award for Powering Technology in the North East
  • The Software Engineering Undergraduate of the Year Award

The application process:

Applications close on Monday 27 January 2025.

  1. Application Form: Answer a few questions about yourself.

  2. Essay Questions: No more than three short essays questions set by the award partner.

  3. Online Psychometric Tests: Up to three, depending on the award.

Successful applicants may progress to assessment centres, interviews, or discovery days with award sponsors.
