Making a Difference Guest Speaker Series: Building community, local services and mental health – the role of social entrepreneurs and AI

Are you looking to make a meaningful impact through a career or volunteering in social enterprises or charities?

As part of our Making a Difference programme, Linacre College is hosting an evening guest speaker event open to all current, matriculated Oxford University students (not only those who have secured a place on the Making a Difference programme).

Making a Difference: Building community, local services and mental health – the role of social entrepreneurs and AI

  Thursday 13 November, 17:30 - 19:00

Tanner Room, Linacre College (go to the reception at Linacre College for directions to the room)

Join us for an engaging event where guest speakers working in the third sector will share their experiences, challenges, and insights. Learn how they are driving change, discover pathways into this rewarding field, and find inspiration for how you too can make a difference.

A conversation with Rob Chapman, CEO and co-founder of Neya, whose mission is to make AI that increases people's real-life social connection, and Nikki Theofanopoulou, design researcher and entrepreneur working at the intersection of human–computer interaction (HCI) and mental health promotion.

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to book your spot now to secure your place.
