The internships available through our popular programmes, The Summer Internship Programme, The Micro-Internship Programme, and The Crankstart Internship Programme, are open to current Oxford University students, undergraduates and postgraduates, including those in their final year of study. Please note that visiting students are not eligible to apply.

The Summer Internship Programme provides access to hundreds of paid/funded summer internship opportunities across the world. Each year students undertake internships offered in over 35 countries and gain valuable work experience while travelling and undertaking interesting internship projects. The Summer Internship Programme also gives students the chance to explore work experience options in a variety of sectors in the UK.
Internships take place in the long vacation (between June and September), are 2-12 weeks in duration and are advertised from the beginning of Hilary term each year.
- ROUND 4: UK and International internships close on Monday 12 May at 23:59.
- The final summer internships are advertised in May.
Summer Internship Programme Sector List
Micro-Internships are 2-5-day voluntary learning and development opportunities. Each internship gives you the opportunity to observe and assist with a defined project. The aim is to develop your employability skills, add to your CV, gain experience in a specific sector and to offer you the opportunity to network with a range of employers.
The first round of applications for summer micro-internships is now open until Sunday 11 May 2025.

Crankstart Scholars are encouraged to gain work experience during their time at Oxford, and funding and support are available to help them do so. Crankstart Scholars can receive advice and guidance at any time with a view to undertaking a work placement in the summer vacation. Crankstart Scholars also benefit from exclusive opportunities advertised through the Crankstart Internship Programme.
Summer placements are advertised on a rolling basis until mid-May.
