The 2024 UK Civil Service Fast Stream

Applications for the UK Civil Service 2024 Fast Stream will open on 12 October and close on 9 November 2023.

This year’s Fast Stream again offers 15 possible Streams, including 2 new Streams in:

• GOVERNMENT POLICY (a re-badging of the Generalist stream perhaps), and
• OPERATIONAL DELIVERY

There’s no CV or cover letter required: applicants register their interest and select up to four Streams in their application. They then face two separate online assessments ahead of attendance at a Fast Stream Assessment Centre (FSAC).

Fast Stream Social Mobility Network Events

The Fast Stream Social Mobility network is running a number of 45 minute events to offer students an insight into the Civil Service Fast Stream. Events will profile a wide array of speakers from differing grades, departments (see below) and professions (from policy to project delivery to science and engineering), talking about their current role and career (for 15-20 minutes) with an opportunity for a Q&A session with the students at the end.
