In this session we’ll focus on how to write effective applications for admission to masters and PhD courses at universities in the USA. We’ll look at the set of application documents commonly required and focus in particular on crafting the admissions essay or personal statement. We'll cover strategies to generate ideas, develop structures and craft openings with plenty of examples. Learn about what to include, what to avoid, and what the academics who read the essays are looking for. This session will also be helpful if you are writing essays for scholarships such as the Fulbright, Knox or Kennedy Fellowships.

We will also be joined by a speaker who has studied in Munich, who will share their perspective of studying abroad in Europe, including searching for options and deciding where to study.
