The winners of the 2025 Internship Office Photo and Video Competition

Each year, the University of Oxford Careers Service and Internship Office invites students who have completed internships facilitated or funded by the Internship Office to share their experiences through the Internship Photo & Video Competition, a celebration of the creativity and curiosity that shape Oxford students’ experiences around the world.

For the 2024-2025 competition, students were invited to share original photos, short descriptions, and videos reflecting their internships. We received 169 entries from 58 student interns, each offering a glimpse into their experiences. With so many impressive submissions, the judging panel faced a difficult task in selecting the winners.

After much thoughtful deliberation, we’re thrilled to announce this year’s outstanding entries...

My internship at SEI Oxford left me with a profound and lasting impression of the power of a mission-driven, collaborative, and intellectually rigorous work environment. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, not only because the work was stimulating, but because I was part of a team genuinely dedicated to tackling critical global challenges.

The winner of the photography category

Joyce Wei - Internship with the Oxford University Museum of Natural History

Working on the uncatalogued scrolls by William and Mary Buckland - ranging from delicate hand-drawn topographical sketches in ink to vibrant watercolour and gouache paintings used in lectures - my primary role was to organise these materials, laying the groundwork for future study, digitisation, or even exhibition.

We want to share our congratulations with the two winners and thank all entrants for inspiring us and allowing us to celebrate their success.
