If the busyness of student life has meant that work experience for the summer has not been nailed down, don’t panic. These informal sessions will give you the tools for finding work experience opportunities at the last minute, without the accompanying stress. Book your place on one of the dates above.
7th Week: 10 June 2021, 12:00-16:00
The Summer Careers Fair offers you the chance to meet a diverse range of recruiters who are offering full-time jobs and internships starting this summer, as well as vacancies that they will be opening for the 2021-2022 intake. Registration is open now and you can sign up with your Oxford University email address.
8th Week: 15 June 2021, 15:00-16:00
In this workshop, we will examine the hidden questions that underpin our best decisions and choices, and look at tools that you can use to identify and take ownership of what's truly important for you in your future career thinking.
8th Week: 17 June 2021, 15:00-16:00
Complementing the above Building a Career Plan this Summer session, this workshop will explore how to identify your strongest skills, to think about where and how you can gain additional experience and to become more confident in presenting your skills in an application process.
8th Week: 18 June 2021, 14:00-17:00
Alumni Careers Adviser, Dr Mike Moss, will cover career planning, how to identify and move towards your dream job, practical job-searching strategies, how to market yourself effectively (through effective CVs, cover letters and applications), and how to prepare for interviews.
