The University of Oxford Start-up Visa Panel has opened applications for another round of endorsements.
We have been informed by UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) that this will be the last round for Start-up Visas.
We are expecting an announcement about the replacement scheme at some point during spring, but this has not be confirmed. Any students receiving endorsement in this round will need to apply for the visa as soon as possible after the endorsement decision.
Applications
Applications are due at 12 noon on Monday 13 February 2023 in order to be considered for Start-up Visa endorsement.
The University of Oxford Careers Service invites all those who wish to stay in the UK to develop their business ideas and who meet the eligibility criteria, to apply for University endorsement. We are keen to support entrepreneurship and all types of businesses are considered for endorsement.
In order to be considered you must:
- Have received, or will receive, your degree from the University of Oxford, or
- Be working at Oxford as a postgraduate with a Tier 2 visa, or
- Be working at the University as research staff.
In addition to this each business plan must demonstrate innovation, viability and scalability.

Interviews
If invited, you must attend an interview on Monday 27 February 2023 in order to be considered for endorsement.
Interviews will be held in person and online so please submit your preference with your application. If you are available to attend in person it is encouraged.
